Any bird watchers out there? If yes, then head down to Kuala
Kubu Bharu on this coming 25th to 27th April 2014 for an
event of “Bird Race.” Bird race here does not meant by putting bird on a run
race, but simply collecting the amount number of bird species in a given time.
This year will be the third year of Majlis Daerah Hulu
Selangor (MDHS) with the collaboration of Awana Genting Golf and Resort, will
held the bird race event. Once, there are only categories for school children,
but this year is a bit special where they open up three new categories – Open

lot of fun.
A group consisting of three people, will be given a
binoculars and a reference book on the species of birds. Try to collect as many
species as possible and you might just win some cool prizes ! The winners
for School, Open, and IPTA/IPTS will be
given prizes of outdoor stuffs worth RM10,000 and for Bird Photography, main
prize will get Nikon D3100 camera. How cool is that?
A brief on the journey on how the event would take place, its a 3 days and 2 nights of event. Will starts at Taman Millenium, KKB on the first day, and the next will be held in Genting. So basically, there will be a lot of birds species to be discover !
