Food Review : Tryst, SS15 Subang

Having good food while enjoying the day with great friends is something that I always look for whenever we all had free-time. On Labour Day, we all went to this new and booming cafe known as Tryst. Located behind KFC at Subang SS15, we had our lunch.

The foods served were pancakes, western and pastas. Reading on the reviews about this place, it was said that the pancakes was the IN thing here. So, keeping in mind of that tip, I gave it a try for their pancakes. They have savoury and sweet pancakes. I pick for the savoury - Pancakes with Beef balls and gravy.

The deco was okay, and they have free cold water to drink, while waiting for your orders. The seating is a bit less, so to avoid disappointment do come early and not on peak hours. For shisha smokers, this is another place that you can hang as they provide variety of flavors.

Food Review : LaDapur Seksyen 7, Shah Alam ( Again, Hehe )

Since I'm doing my internship at a travel magazine called Santai Travel, I was given a task for doing some food review and I have choosen LaDapur at seksyen 7, Shah Alam to be a part of the magazine's content. Greeted by the owner himself, Encik Syed Ali bin Syed Abdullah, we managed to interviewed him four my article regarding his restaurant and foods.

How does LaDapur got its name? According to the owner, he at first wanted the name The Kitchen but seems to common. So he changes it to La Kitchen as in trying to retain the 'La' which means 'The' in Italian. But couldn't be more satisfied. Lasly, he combine the Italian word and the Malay word and produced 'LaDapur' with a Jawi words as well.

7 months and still standing, LaDapur have been blooming with customers through their delicious menu that might just make you undecided to what to eat. The thing that catches my eyes was of course the Pizza. The same thing I've loved when the last time I came here. LaDapur can be said as a western + fusion restaurant. As they have Japanese foods as well.

As I have mention earlier here, they have their pizza maker in front of the restaurant. Not at the back and their sauce and even the dough is homemade. Not frozen or pack in tins. Well, that is the reason why you all have to come down here and try it yourself. Even the western dishes are homemade. For example, the fries. They made it from scratch and it taste better than the frozen ones.

For our review, we were served with 5 western dishes, 1 Japanese dish and 1 big New York crust style pizza.

A 16-inch Firano Hawaiian + La Soprano Pizza
Firano Hawaiian - Chicken with pineapple
La SOprano - Pepperoni, olive, capsicum.

Fish and Chips

Lamb Chop Special.

Tenderloin Steak.

Grilled Cheese Meatball Spaghetti.
One hint - Homemade meatballs that is soooo 'PADU' !
It means, it is very delicious !

Okonimiyaki - A Japanese dish.
It is similar to Takoyaki but bigger.

Wings of KKB/ Bee Farm/ Strawberry Park 2014

On the 26th and 27th of April 2014, I was assigned to go to the Third event of Wings of KKB brought to you by Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor with partner Awana Genting Resort. As always it is the same as the last bird watching activity that I went to. It is basically a bird race competition where participants are required to gather as many bird species as possible to entitle being a winner. The contest was used to be only for schools students and now with three more new categories - IPTA/IPTS, Open Category and Fotography, it was surely a good competition in aiming to make awareness of the birds living.

One thing I enjoyed about this trip was having the opportunity to stay at Awana Genting Resort. Though it may just be one night. Having to stay at the 26th floor was surely a good view for me from the window. By evening you can see the whole valley and by morning, it was as white as cotton ! You can't see a thing !

We even managed to go to the Bee Farm and Strawberry Park. At the bee farm, the tour guide explain a little bit of the bee's history, common places for their home and types of them. They even gave us the opportunity to taste the honey right from their nest ! It's the same as when I am at JJK Pulau Pinang.

Strawberry Park was the last stop before going back home and it was a little bit disappointing as the strawberries aren't really that much for us to pick. But I do enjoy the Lavender Field upstairs. It was really beautiful.

The view when we first reached here. On the 26th floor. So high.

The next morning. Told yaaa !

The excited kids before flagging-off to the competition.

Me and my crazy partner at the Strawberry Farm.

See? Not many of them were available to be pick :(

The Lavender Field. So beautiful.
