Oh Baby

Last night, I spent my night watching movie in youtube. A movie called Oh Baby starring Cinta Laura Kiehl. The movie was quite funny and it was full of people dancing. Cinta Laura stars as a new student in a new school. She started by joining a dance competition without registering her name and school. And she was selected among all of them to be the three finalists. Because she didn't come under any school,so she didn't win. Thus, the manager of the dance competition asked her whether she wanted to win the competition but on one condition ; she had to go the school the manager assigned to. She accepted it. And that's when all the funniest and awkward things began.

Try and watch it. You can find it in youtube. I'm sure you'll gonna love it. Have a nice day :)

CLK :)

This is Cinta Laura Kiehl who known as Laura in new Indonesian's sinetron at tv3 named Upik Abu dan Laura. She's 16. Cinta, who was born in Germany on Aug. 17, 1993, and whose name means "love", says she has a love for Indonesia and is proud to be an Indonesian. The reason why I uploaded her pics was I really love her hair :)

Boom Boom Pow!

Today,I went for a cycle to a groceries shop to buy things. Then went back home to watch tv. Suddenly my maid's friend ask if she can come over to her house for some cooking. She asked wheather my maid can cook some dishes for lunch. So,my maid cooked 'Tempe Indonesia' and 'Lodeh Indonesia'. It took about nearly one hour to finish the cooking. After the cooking had done, I and all of them started to eat and the dishes was delicious! man,I'm not used to eat 'tempe' but this 'tempe' was really great. I ate about two plates to fulfill my hunger :)

Had some chit-chat with Marissa about her school and her classmates. She's very talkative and she really laugh loudly :) I mean really loud. She's just 13 and it's quite cute when she talked about scandal and everything. School lovers is what I meant. Marissa, good luck on your exams!

My sister bought a new phone and she got this game in her phone called Age of Empires II. And this game made me addicted to it. If there's any free time, I would play that game. But unfortunately, that game only have 6 missions and I've finished all of it :( Hmph.

There's these new songs that kept me dancing. Haha. There's Rihanna - Hatin on The Club and BEP - Boom Boom Pow. Seriously heart-pumping and body-moving songs.

Owh yes, another 38 days approximately before I go off to Uni :)

Even with the WIFI (wireless), Bluetooth or the entire notebook is completely off,
it can still be detected via radio frequency.

Therefore never leave your notebook, PDA (Personal Digital Assistance), mobile phone or any valuable electronic devices in the car.

These devices are not expensive, it costs less than RM50 for the thieves to start the "business".

For those, please beware and stay cautious.

Teacher's Day Part 2

There's a big differences between school back then and school nowadays.

Back then.....

  • Walk to school,if got no 1 in class, parents will give a new bicycle - felt very happy!
  • 5 o'clock in the morning, mom had woken up. And the water was very cold! Some, 6.59 am had already standing infront of the school's gate.
  • Rm5 for one week is a lot!
  • Shoes' brand that were famous : Fung Keong, Bata and Pallas Jazz...
  • Activities at recess : 'Timbang Bulu Ayam', Football, 'Galah Panjang', 'Batu Seremban' or 'Jengkek Kapal Terbang'.
  • If the homework couldn't be finished,of course the teacher would get angry! Have to stay outside the class with the book on top of the head. Students who get scolded by the teachers do not hav ethi guts to tell the parents. Why? Because the parents will cane them.
  • If the students forget to bring clothes for PJK,they have to stand straight. Forgot the second time, stand on the chairs. Forgot the third time, satnd on the table!
  • The most fun things were on weekends. The students will not be at home. They will be hanging out with their friends playing 'pondok-pondok', 'tuju selipar' or went fishing at the village's river.

Nowadays....

  • Students were sent by parents ; usually boys with motorcycles and arrived at school just before the first bell rings.
  • Money? At least the students have to have rm10 because the living cost nowadays is high. Even a plate of 'Nasi Lemak' cost about rm5!
  • There's a lot of types of shoes. The better the quality, the higher the price!
  • At recess time, there's no nee dto go outside to play. Just sit in the class hanging out and play mini video game - small, advance and easy!
  • The teachers maybe have to be sent to a class for handling students that are stubborn, hot-tempered, and cannot be advised.

Fuh! BIG differences! We should appreciate the teachers who had been taught us for many years. Thak you, teachers :)

Teacher's Day Part 1

Teacher's Day is just around the corner. And I would like to say thank you for all of the teachers who have been teaching me for 14 years. Starting from kindergden, up to primary school and move to secondary school. I know I've cause a lot of trouble in school but you all still taught me. And I'm proud of that. No matter how stubborn I am, you still have hope in me. Thank you.

I would like to tell you a story behind the origin of Teacher's Day.

A day that is dedicated to the hard work that is input by the teacher all year long, a day that is a complete tribute to the teachers all aroun India. In India, Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th of September which was a dedication to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was one of the most well known diplomat, scholar, president of India and above all a teacher. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday has been observed as Teacher's Day and tis led to it's origin. This day is just a mere reflection of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's love for and attachment to the teaching profession. As a matter of fact, Dr. Servepalli Radhakrishnan himself asked his admirers to celebrate his birthday not as his birthday but as Teacher's Day. One of the most celebrated writers in the modern India today are his work varies on philosophical, theological, ethical, educational, social, and cultures subjects. He contributed numerous articles to different well-known journals, which, are of immense value and seems to surprise various readers because of the depth in the meaning of the articles.

Teacher's day is now one of the occasion that is looked forward by the teachers and students alike as on this occasion its not only when teachers are praised but also around various schools students dress up as a representation of their teachers and take various lectures that are assigned to the teachers they represent. As the day passes the students perform the regular activities that are performed by the teacher's. On this day students realize what it means to be a teacher and what it means to control the future of several students in their classes and also teachers are reminded what it felt like when they were the students.

Apart from the fun aspect everybody should pay their respects to the great Dr. Radhakrishnan. Since that day this event have become a regular event. Apart from the fun aspect of the day it is also a day when one can look back and admire and get inspired by Dr. Radhakrishnan, a small town cunning boy, who grew up to become one of the most respected politicians in the history of democracy of India.

So,that's why we celebrates Teacher's Day. Without the teachers, there will be no women and men working in a good office with a higher position.

AF7

To Aril, congrats on AF MASUK last Saturday!

HMD :)

To all mums over the world,Happy Mother's Day (I know it's been three days back )

A little bit of history on mother's Day. Majoritiy of countries celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May. On this day,it is common for Mother's to be lavished with presents and special attention from their families, friends and loved ones. But it hasn't always been this way.

Spiritual Origin of Mother's Day.

Only recently dubbed "Mother's Day",the highly traditional practice of honoring of Motherhood is rooted in antiquity, and past rites typically had strong symbolic and spiritual overtones ; societies tended to celebrate Goddesses and symbols rather than actual Mothers. In fact, the personal, human touch to Mother's Day is a relatively new phenomenon. The maternal objects of adoration ranged from mythological female deities to the christian church itself. Only in the past few centuries did celcebrations of Motherhood develop a decidedly human focus.

Goddess Isis - Early Egyptian Roots

One of the earliest historical records of a society celebrating a Mother deity can be found among the ancient Egyptians, who held an annual festival to honor the Goddess Isis, who was commonly regarded as the Mother of pharaohs. Her stern, yet handsome head is typically crowned by a pair of bull horns enclosing a fiery sun orb. She is most often depicted sitting on a throne.

So the story goes, after Isis' brother-husband Osiris was slain and dismembered in 13 pieces by their jealous brother Seth, Isis re-assembled Osiris' body and used it to impregnate herself. She then gave birth to Horus, whom she was forced to hide amongst the reeds lest he be slaughtered by Seth. Horus grow up and defeated Seth, and then became the first ruler of a unified Egypt. Thus Isis earned her stature as the Mother of pharaohs.

Mothering Day in Europe - Family Greetings With Mom

In the 1600's a clerical decree in England broadened the celebration to include real Mothers, earning the name Mothering Day. Mothering Day became an especially compassionate holiday toward the working classes of England. During this Lenten Sunday, servants and trade workers were allowed to travel back to their towns of origin to visit their families. Mothering Day also provided a one-day reprieve from the fasting and penance of Lent so that families across England could enjoy a sumptuous family feast—Mother was the guest of honor. Mothers were presented with cakes and flowers, as well as a visit from their beloved and distant children.

So,that was a little bit of information on Mother's Day that we all used to celebrate untill now.

To Mummy,I Love You and thank you for everything you have done for me all these years.

Vroom..vroom..

Today,I went for my driving practice using the highway. Supposely, I have to practice in the track but somehow there were people from JPJ having their tests. And they supposed to have their tests on Friday and not today. What a bummer.

The practice was great :) I was so anxious that I hit the double line. That would be a direct fail! But nevermind, this was just a practice and not the real test. So,I have to be more focus and alert by next time. The teacher taught me about all the roads that maybe will be choosen on the real test. There was this road where I have to drive on the right side only. This is the first road. The second road was where I have to stay on the left side all the way. Lastly, the third road was where I have to make a u-turn. Today's practice took about 2 hours and I was ok with it.

Before return back home,we checked at the track if it can be used. Luckily the track was empty since the JPJ have gone home. So,there I was practising all the challenging courses. I made my way up the hill, down to the parking lot and on my way to the 3-pointer. My teacher said that I was good on all 3 of these. It was a relieved to heard that. I hope I can managed to pass all of these on my real test.
