5 Trends Nowadays Teenagers

1. Scarfs & Skinny
If you guys want to spend your weekends around KL, especially around Bukit Bintang, you all must be distracted by the styles and make-over of this era of teenagers. What's for sure is wearing skinny jeans, checkered shirts, or maybe wearing headbands, wear leggings and not left out the scarfs being worn on the neck that's been saying as the in thing now. For me also,I can see everybody is totally into this.

2. Photography

One thing if all of you noticed, the trend where teenagers brought their SLR Digital camera everywhere and move in one big group are no longer different in these days. These are the teenagers who are creative! What ever they see, they will recorde or snap it as what they called as art. Moreover, amature teenagers tend to be part in this hobby eventhough it is an 'expensive' hobby.

3. T-shirt Printing

This is also one of the trend that teenagers like to wear. Once, the trend of wearing t-shirt with typography was only for those who loves indie band only. But now, this t-shirt printing is suitable fro everyone because it's simple and stylish.

4. Shuffle

Nowadays, Shuffle is also one of the trends. Yes,some people said that these dancers only dance to show-off and compete againts another groups. But at least you still have the chance to enjoy the events :)

5. Gigs

From talent to hobby, the HOT thing that is in now is Gigs. With competing using indie genre thus involve with mainstream music, this caught a lot of audience. The purpose is one : satisfied the fan's of music.

That's all for today :)

Reading...

Today,I went for a cycle in the park with my sister and my maid. Then went for a pit-stop at the nearby 7e for new comics and magazines.

I bought two new comics and one magazines,

These two comics were recommended by my friend,Shila. Btw,the story was sweet and makes me wonder if my life would be like that :)

This month's Seventeen. Have it while it's in stock!

MMCR

Last Friday (24.4.09), me and my family went out for dinner at My Mom's Chicken Rice at sec7 to celebrate my sister's birthday.

The dish was delicious! Even the ricewas awesome. The rice itself was already nice. No need to add soup or 'kicap' on it. We ate rice with roasted chicken and soups and sauce. We drank orange juice, iced lemon tea, and sky juice.

Pictures,

Owh yes,the toilet was also great. Haha.

*More Pictures will be upload.

Good one

Someone forward this to me and I found out that this is a good advise to follow..

The Law of The Garbage Truck - by Larry Crane

"One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car backed out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.

He was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital.' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on.

Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So... Love the people who treat you right. And love the ones who don't.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a blessed, garbage-free day."

So,what do you think? :)

Quite interesting History

Don't know whether it is true or not, but it's great to read. Someone forward it to me. So now I would like to share it with all of you. Enjoy :)

Life in England in the 1500's--this is great.

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn't just how you like it, think about how things used to be...here are some of the facts about the 1500's :

1. Most people got married in Junebecause they took their yearly bath in May and still smells preetty good in June. However, when they started to smell, the brides would carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odour. Hence, the custom of carrying a bouquet when getting married was because of this.

2. baths consits of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house has the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the sons and the women and finally the children. Last of all will be the babies. By then the water will be so dirty that you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, don't throw the baby out with the bath water..

3. Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippers and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof. Hence the saying ‘It's raining cats and dogs’.

4. There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence.

5. The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying, Dirt poor. The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entranceway. Hence the saying a thresh hold = threshold. (Getting quite an education, aren't you?)

6. In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day, they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme, Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old..

7. Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, bring home the bacon. They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around and chew the fat..

8. Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leak onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so tomatoes were considered poisonous.

9. Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or the upper crust.

10. Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days ... Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake.

11. England is old and small where the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When they re-open these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratches marks on the inside and they realized that they have been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, saved by the bell.

And that's the truth. Now,whoever said that History was boring?

Driving a Kancil

Happy 39th Birthday Kak Rosy!!
May God Bless you.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today I went for my Trial L licence. Have to sit for a class about 3 hours. Then have lunch at the cafe with some friends. After that, waited for 30 mins and went inside the office for thumbprint. Then I went for the test drive exercise. This was not yet a test because I still doesn't have my L licence. So if we followed the rules,I should not drive a car. But the teacher said,it was alright because this is just a practice to make me familiar with the place and to know all the rules so that I could do it when it comes to the real exam.

It looked easy although most of them failed. So when it was my turned to drive,I had felt what others felt. The shacking of the car when we pull our leg fast from the clutch. The vrooming of the car when it hits the high speed. Man,driving a car can be scary. I agree with that. I was sweating at the back of my body while I was driving eventhough the aircond was at the coldest. I have to drive up a hill and stop at the top without going backwards. I also have to know how to park a car by parallel and how to make 3 pointers. And it was not easy I tell you. After 2 hours of driving,it was time to go home. I have had a wounderful time driving that Kancil of them.

For know I have to wait about a month for the licence to be finish processing.

Pass my computer test

Today I am soooooo happy! Why? Because I've past my computer test with the score of 49/50!!! Good aite? I departed in the morning and started my test about 11am after waiting about 1 hour. I 've finished my test in about 30 mins i think. I'm not that sure. I was soo happy back then :)

I reached home with an anger because I've waited 1 hour an a half at the mamak stall before the person of Metro supposed to fetch me up after the test. See? How irresponsible they are? Haiyaa! The place was soo hot and when I decided to use the toilet. And what surprised me was,oh my,the toilet was in a bad condition. I mean theres no water, even a pipe! The flush was terribly damaged and it was soooo dirty. I have to find another toilet. Quick! It was a good news for me when I found there was a nearby clinic. If there was a clinic, then there will be a toilet. Yes! I was correct.

After waiting for sooo long, the man came with his little son at the back seat, pouting his mouth. And I wonder why. I was a little bit mad that made me quite all the way home. Reach home.have lunch because I was soooo hungry that I ate two plates full of fried chinese rice with nuggets and fries. Yum! Then watch the Indonesian's sinetron and sent my sister to school.

In the evening, again with the gossiping and hanging out with the maids and their own native language.

Pictures,

Indonesian day

Yesterday, woke up at about 9am eventhough it's quite late. Have breakfast alone with scramble eggs sandwhich. My maid was not that hungry. After having so-called-breakfast,we went for our groceries shopping at a not-so-nearby groceries shop. Before we went to the groceries shop,we stooped at the famous Nasi Lemak stall to have our breakfast. At the shop,we bought a lot of things ; chicken, fishes, veges, kuey teow and much more.

Reached home at about noon, watched tv and sent my sister to school. Afterwards reach home and watched my favourite afternoon indonesian's show which is 'Upik Abu dan Laura'. This show is quite suitable for teenagers nowadays. This show is very funny.

In the evening, went to nearby park for a while before picking up my sister. Then after picking her up,we all went back to the park and started gossiping with the maids who worked in houses near the park. Like everyday, they will talked in their on native language and of course,I couldn't understand a thing. But i tried to blend in.

Owh yes,my computer test will be held tomorrow :)

Animes

My old time anime favourite. I used to watch it when I was a kid but now the story was no longer available on the tv. Because nowadays, there's more new anime to watch. Unfortunately,I don't have channel animax on my astro. Once I do have that channel, now no more. All of the anime in Animax were so cute and adorable. It is more interesting to watch when these anime like have superpowers and how they fight. like flying over here, jumping over there. It is amazing.

Some of my favourites animes are,

This is like everyone's old time favourite anime ; Card Captor Sakura. Where Sakura was the girl who have been choosen to catch all the cards from being evil and turn them to be good with the help of the charming boy Li Shouran. Owh that boy was soooo cute and he makes my heart melt :p

Next favourite,

This one is called Rave. This story is about a boy named Haru which has a magic sword. A really big magic sword. He travels all around the world to defeat the evil magic and gain all the powers to make the sword stronger. He teams up with a girl name Elie where he found her by accidently in a gambling place trying to find hes pet named Poyo.

Last but not least,

Hell Girl is what they used to called her. She is the one who was responsible for the dead. People who are angry with somebody and want them dead, they only have to put the name of that person's in the demon's web. By next morning, the person who put somebody's name will received a doll made out of dry hay. If they want that person dead, they just have to pull the red strings at the neck of that doll. Automatically that person will be executed.

So,that's all for my favourites anime until now. I wish I could find these cds.

A dish on a chinese muslim's cuisine

Last Friday,my family and I went to a new restaurant called Mukmin which is a Chinese Muslim restaurant. We went there about 8pm to have our dinner and luckily the place was not yet crowded. We sat and waited for the waitress to take our orders. Usually this place would be flooded with people after 9pm.

And the waitress came. So we ordered our choices to overcome the hunger. I had Nasi Goreng Kampung where my maid had Nasi Goreng Cina. Same goes to my father. On the other hand,my brother had Nasi Goreng Ayam while my sister had Hot Plate Yee Mee and my mother had Kung Fu Yee Mee.

The dishes were delicious. All of us were satisfied with the food. They do served us with a lot of food in one plate. I was so full after eating my dish. But it was great.

Thursday

Today nothing special happened. Just laughing maniacally with my maid ; like everyday :) I miss my friends who was always there beside me back then. But I have to move on with my life and have to ignore this problem for a while. This problem will make me sad and feel down. And I don't want to be like that.

Ok. Next week will be my sister's and my maid's birthday. So,all of my cousins, aunties and uncles will be there. If everyone were there, then it will be a big birthday party. I still haven't buy presents for both of them. Ideas pleaseee.

Ym-ing with Naimah and a new friend called Saha A ( which I don't know who he was ). Chatting with Naimah about the interview with UiTM lecturers on our courses. Owh and yes I also ym-ing with Azri Kamarul Bahrin a.k.a Aflo. I also do ym-ing with my long lost friend,Sarah Cute Habibi. She's my friends since form 2 when I started to move to my school. So many friends today and I'm so happy :)

I do make new friends with nasquin. She's nice and cute :)

All in all, chatting with friends do make you feel better.

L & P

Last Tuesday (14.4.2009), I went to Metro Driving Academy for the driving license (is this true to spell like that?). Nevermind. I went there in the morning about 9 am. Reached there about 9.30 am. Went for scanning thumbprint inside and waited in a room where there was a lecturer talked about 6 hours on rules and regulations about driving a car and a motorbike.

The lecturer was ok because he has full of humor in him. All of us were laughing until the end of the class. After three days,I have to come back to take the law test. In the meanwhile,I have to study and do exercises provided by them.

That's all for today.

UiTM interview

I know this kinda late to post, but I still want to post it. So, here goes.

Last Saturday,I went to UiTM with my parents for the Masscomm interview. We departed before 8.00 in the morning. We reached there maybe 15 mins later. Waited at the front door of Fakulti Komunikasi dan Media. There's this lecturer told us that we have to attend a writing exam. All of us have to line up in two two rows ; girls and boys.

The test will be held on the third floor so all of us went up there. We have to wear formal attire such as Baju Kurung or Baju Kebaya for the girls and for the boys, they have to wear shirt, slack, tie and shoes. We were divided into two rooms. I was in the second room. I started my essay at 8.35 and ended at 9.05. The lecturer said that we can only have 30 mins to finished our essay. The essay was about our autobiography and we have to include why we choose this course. I was so nervous when writing this essay because the people who was sitting both next to me was writing the essay which was longer than. It scared me.

After I have finished my writing,I have to wait for my name to be called for the interview. While waiting,I do make friends eventhough I didn't asked their names. I have waited for almost 1/2 an hour and I'm starving that time. Luckily,my dad was at the stairs with some foods after I told my mum that I was hungry.

Then my name was called by this lecturer and went off to another room where there were about another 20 people there. I waited and waited until it was my turn. When the time come, I went into the interview room and saw two persons ; a man and a woman. They asked me a question starting, "Tell me what do you know about Mass Communication." I said,"In my own knowledge,Mass Communication is a term best to describe the academic studies for various means by which individuals and entities relay information through mass media to large segments of populations at the same time." Phew! That was scary. I was shaking that time. About 5 mins later, the sessions was over and I can go back home. Have lunch at the Faculti's canteen and went home.

All in all, that was my first interview and it was ok.

,,,

After 5 days not posting any entries,I decided to post one or maybe two today.

Today went for a jogg at nearby park. Then went to open a new bank account with my dad. Afterwards, went home for lucnh. I had rice, bayam soup and sambal belacan. Delicious. At the evening,my dad asked me to prepare myself to go to the nearest Metro Driving School for registration and my first class will be starting by next week.

Got home and found a letter from UiTM said that I've been invited for an interview on Masscomm tomorrow morning. Oh my! I had been browsing through their web but still couldn't find anything about the masscomm. So I had to browse the meaning through wikpedia. But still, I did found some information on the UiTM's web.

I'm quite tired today because of these things. Supposed today there will be BBQ at CP and I was invited but,I don't have the feelings to go there. Guess who wants to go went you are invited by a bunch of guys and not girls? I mean,I'm a girl and I would like if girls were the one who sent me the invitation. It will be an awkward situation if I went there all by myself. This BBQ was for my ex classmate,Nazirul, who will be going back to Perak on Monday. This was like a farewell party for him since he had moved to Perak after schools over. So,bye-bye to Nazirul and sorry for not attending your BBQ event, eventhough I have paid.

...Who said poetry is boring??

I've got this from someone and she forward it to me. So I decided to post it because it's quite funny though.

THESE WERE ENTRIES TO A WASHINGTON POST COMPETITION ASKING FOR A
TWO-LINE RHYME WITH THE MOST ROMANTIC FIRST LINE, AND THE LEAST
ROMANTIC SECOND LINE:

1. My darling, my lover, my beautiful wife
Marrying you has screwed up my life

2. I see your face when I am dreaming
That's why I always wake up screaming

3. Kind, intelligent, loving and hot
This describes everything you are not

4. Love may be beautiful, love may be bliss,
But I only slept with you 'cause I was pissed.

5. I thought that I could love no other
-- that is until I met your brother.

6. Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's
empty and so is your head.

7. I want to feel your sweet embrace;
But don't take that paper bag off your face.

8. I love your smile, your face, and your eyes
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!

9. My love, you take my breath away.
What have you stepped in to smell this way?

10. My feelings for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe 'Go to hell.'

11. What inspired this amorous rhyme?
Two parts vodka, one part lime!

In a nutshell, some poetry can be hillarious, some poetry can be scary but this one was good :)

One sunny/rainy day

Yesterday morning went to LCCT to pick my maid up. She was from Bandung. We ate breakfast at LCCT's Marry Brown. It was a good breakfast :)Afterwards,we went to Alamanda,Putrajaya for a new sneakers for my college stuff. Then I bought myself Silkygirl nail polish remover and Elianto's nail colour in Twilight Zone and not missing out April's Seventeen.

After that we ate our lunch at MFM abbreviation for Manhattan Fish Market. The fish was so delicious and mouth-watering. Yum! We also ate chips, fried rice, some calamari and shrimps, and also mushrooms and oysters. We also got to see the flamming shrimps in front of our eyes where the waiter flamed the shrimps to make the gravy burnt because when the gravy burnt, it taste more better.

After having our wounderful lunch, we went back home. We reached home and prepare ourself to go to PWTC in KL for the Higher Education Fair. There was a lots of booth opened at the fair. Me and my parents browse to many kinds of colleges and universities to find which one was the best to suits me. We come up with KDU college,UCTI college universities,Nilai college and so much more.

It's really worth it to went there. My mum and I gain a lot of information on the courses that interest me such as mass comm and hotel & tourism management. So now just browsing trough their flyers and brochers to find the best.

Running across the hall

On 28 of March,on a nice sunny day,me and my sister followed my mother to her old school SMP JLN IPOH,KL. My mom has a gathering meeting with her ex-classmates.

The school was huge! Theres a lot of mini park. The canteen was bigger than my school canteen. We stayed there about 5 hours ( I think ) and I went on a tour to that school.

Snapped some pictures,

When I was walking around the school,I was attracted by some of the arts the students made. It was so beautiful :)
