Silent Disco at RIUH

RIUH event has been widely known for their music, arts, stand-up comedy and other great entertainments. Recently on 28th of August, they had one event located at the Gasket Alley, PJ.

Me and my sister has always try to squeeze in RIUH in our schedule every time they made an event. On this time around, they choose PJ instead of Bangsar like always. I guess maybe Bangsar was a little challenging to find parking.

While at Gasket Alley, there are plenty of parking located on the venue and at the shopping mall across the street.

This time around they have quite an installments on the exhibits, we went to this one slot called

OrbiTV : AN AV EXHIBIT
Audio & Visual Content : Phobophobia by Luqman Ashaari

Where he uses a compile series of his eerie 3D motion videos and discomfort arts.

You had to use a headphones, with eerie sounds and watch discomfort videos *almost disgusted but good try*

Then we went to the end of the hall for some pictures in a box called Filamen. A glowing stick is hung inside and you can take a lot of pictures and videos for only 1 minute and 30 seconds haha, If you have good phones for dark environment, then you might catch a few good photos! Sadly, I don't.

Lastly, we head upstairs for some dancing - SILENT DISCO (Our favorites!)

As the name states, it is literally a silent disco. The songs were only on the headphones and we ourselves only hear the musics. No one on the same level can hear anything. So we dance and sings with the headphones, and imagine putting off the headphones and listening to people singing with deaf-tune (like me) and dancing like weird people, hehe, but it was a good exhibition actually!

Thought of ending the night with some bite and drinks, head to the back at Tiffin Foodcourt, and quite disappointed with the choices of foods and drinks, as they serves more beer than mineral waters and not much choices for eat. I mean we're tired from dancing, we need water haha

But overall, RIUH has been a good event through out the years, and we always look forward for the next one. I heard they are heading to Ipoh !

Look out for their updates HERE

How to Spend Your Perfect Weekend in KL & Selangor

Malaysia ni tersenarai sebagai top 10 countries yang paling banyak public holiday, ada lebih dari 50 hari public holiday, some public holiday tu untuk beberapa negeri sahaja, tapi still, banyak la tu jugak kan? Malaysians favourite pastime is makan, holiday, repeat! Siapa suka holiday angkat tangan?

So, macam mana you guys nak spend your perfect public holiday plus long weekend? Ni antara cadangan yang I've come out with, enjoy!

#1 Makan trip!

Superpark Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur.

JumpStreetAsia, Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Siapa suka melompat?

If this sounds perfect and spending time at home is your favourite weekend activity, boleh cuba aktiviti melukis dengan anak-anak, buat pot luck ajak saudara-mara, ataupun kalau nak cuba cuba aktiviti yang lain dari yang lain, cubalah Mobile Spa di Rumah.

Kalau yang suka duduk rumah membaca, santai-santai tengok tv atau just nak relax, boleh cuba mobile spa sambil tenangkan fikiran sebelum start balik minggu kerja. Relax dan santai di rumah sambil menikmati mobile spa - tak perlu redah traffic jam waktu weekend, tak perlu redah parking kat shopping, tak perlu bersesak dengan weekend crowd, relax dan unwind di rumah sambil spa.

TOP 5 PLACES FOR SPICY FOOD IN SELANGOR AND KL

Truth to be told, I always love spicy foods! Like really REALLY love it!

This craving has been brought up by my late grandfather, he was the one who taught us grandchildren, how to eat spicy food.

Our first time eating was merely, plain rice, ikan goreng and kicap cili api. No other dishes were served. Its either you eat it or you don’t eat at all. Haha

From that onwards, we learned to eat spicy foods from just add on kicap cili to actually putting cili api in dishes to enhance flavours.

So, there are days that I sometimes crave for spicy foods but too lazy to cook on my own. Thus, I would google or look for places that have been reviewed by other with their spicy-ness rating of their own.

Here are the Top 5 Places for spicy food, according to me!

#1 Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus

This stall has just been booming all over selangor & KL after being viral over a video showing the amount of cili api used to make the dish. If you found the video, you might just get burnt by just looking at it! And you haven’t eaten it yet haha

I had mine for the first time in Jalan Gombak, the stall was really small but pack with people (thanks for the viral guys) arrived at 1pm but only get to eat at 2.30pm, yes that long of waiting game. But now, there are a lot of the shops opened and it might just be close to you guys

White plain hot rice, served with fried chicken and a slap of the cili. You can opt for normal spicy, or top of the world hotness (breathing fire)

First timer? Try the basic first. You might just be in a kick.

#2 Ayam Geprek, Kotak SS15

I found this shop from twitter, by looking at the dish, the presentation look interesting and drooling enough for me. But one thing, parking in ss15 suck really bad haha better be early or just took a grab.
It’s called Ayam Geprek where the fried chicken is mashed together with the Ghost Pepper chillis to give you a different experience. Me being konon spicy lover took the Level 1 at first but then decided to add on to Level 3 for more hotness.

Then, I regret.

They served Level 1 – 10, and I DARE YOU TO TRY LEVEL 10 XD

#3 Wong Solo

This one has been around before all the other viral places, it has been a choice for whoever wanted to try spicy foods, but always always pack by lunch time. Do avoid at all cost. Haha.

You can try eating them before or after lunch time to prevent from wasting time, by waiting...

#4 Wingstop, MyTown

America’s no 1 fried chicken brand, located in MyTown on level 2. They have 10 choices of flavours coating to choose from and one named ‘Atomic’ is the spicy-ness of them all.

Either 6-pcs or 8-pcs chicken, you can try this ‘Atomic’ flavour and paired it with either ‘Balinese’ or ‘Mango Harbanero’

And don’t forget to wind down the hotness with their signature chocolate shake, it is to die for!

#5 Pasta Arrabiatta, Grafa

Once located at SS15 subang, now move to Lorong Universiti B behind UM. A big portion of pasta, served on tomato/chilli sauce with chop chili padi and meatballs stuffed cheese. You really can’t go wrong with this dish. Just typing about this making me drool. I might just have this later!

If you have other suggestion that I might need to try it out, leave your comment below and I might just take up the challenge!
