AIRBNB REVIEW : IMPERIO RESIDENCE, MELAKA

AIRBNB REVIEW : IMPERIO RESIDENCE, MELAKA | Assalamualaikum semua ! Welcome to my blog !

Okay last week, I went to Melaka for my honeymoon. Decided to go for Melaka as it was a last minute decision. We couldn't decide on which place to go for the weekend. We can't go far as our budget was limited, it's either PD or Melaka, and we opt for Melaka.

After days of searching through places to stay, between the hotels and Airbnb, I've decide on Airbnb. I've located an amount of RM500+ for 2 nights, and this is the breakdown for the places

For hotels, at that price, and on my selected dates : Pros, got breakfast. Cons, no seaview, no balcony, no bathtub.

For Airbnb, at that price, and on my selected dates : Pros, got balcony, got bathtub and got seaview. Cons, no breakfast.

So I'll go ahead with the Airbnb, as I prefer to have that 3 amenities, as breakfast can easily be found anywhere in Melaka. This is Melaka we're staying at. So many food choices.

Okay let's talk about this Airbnb unit :

IMPERIO RESIDENCE, MELAKA

It's located at the heart of the city, just beside the DoubleTree Hotel. This residence is above the Imperio Mall, which looks abandoned, I think because of PKP 2 years back. Maybe.

Checking-In was a breeze. It's self-checkin. Just collect the keys in the mailbox at lobby and you're good to go. For my unit, the owner provide a free parking spot, as they applied for the season pass. Parking doesn't have it's own spot. It's free parking. you can park any box you want as long as it's in the box or not you'll get clamped. But some unit I've heard, you have to pay for the parking per entry. Price range from RM3 - RM7 roughly.

Our unit is located at the 23rd floor, and upon reaching the room, as I opened the door, I could see the beautiful seaview that I've always dreamed off. Such stunning sunset. We arrived in the evening around 4 pm roughly, and the sun just heavenly.

The unit consists of one queen bed, one sofa, a smart TV, toilet complete with shower and bathtub, and I must say, the bathtub also has a beautiful seaview. The TV complete with an android box for your Netflix movie-binged, and also got Youtube as well as others. Wifi is available and the connection is good.

Just a small note, if you're standing on the balcony, you can see the large view of the seaview and one abandoned building halfway through construction.. But if you're from inside or from the bathtub, you will see a small portion of the building in front. I'll share on the pictures if you can't much imagine the words explained. Hehe.

The balcony consists of two chairs and a table, and this is where me and my husband had our quiet breakfast. I really love our breakfast moment. With the morning sun and the sea breeze. It's really what I am always look for in a vacation. Maybe for next year, I'll try find a place near the beach.

The bathtub is quite big, and very comfortable, just if they have more floor mat in the toilet, should be great. As it's kinda easily be wet, and took quite sometimes for the floor to be dry. Shampoo and body shower is also provided in the shower area. I can say, their toilet is very clean !

They also have a small kitchen/pantry area. complete with a medium-sized fridge, induction cooker with 2 pans, plates, cups, forks and spoons, enough for 2 people stay. I purposely choose a studio-type room instead of one-bedroom. As I am looking for a small simple room to stay in for the weekend.

The pool located at this residence is very big and very nice. For family stay-cation is very recommended. Complete with kids pool and also playground.

All in all, I can say, this unit is worth it. If you happen to come and visit Melaka, and wanted to stay in the city but also getting a seaview, with a quiet environment, give this unit a try. I'll share the link for the booking below.

My first trip to Krabi on 2014 !

This was back wayyy wayyy back in 2014.

When I got a text from Aimi asking if I wanted to come with her to Krabi, Thailand.

Without hesitation, I said Yes!

It was on August and it was Aimi's birthday month. More of like a birthday trip to Krabi. It was supposed to be four of us, including Aimi's sister and brother-in-law, but last minute both of them couldn't come so we end up with only the two of us hehe

Our flight was in the morning at 8am, and so we departed from Shah Alam at around 3am as we had to be there 2-3 hours earlier than departure time. *okay everyone know this Asilah*

We reached Krabi at 8am, as Krabi is 1 hour earlier than Malaysia (9am) and first thing we look for a transport to our hotel. For a cheaper fare, you may opt to share the taxi with other tourist too and luckily we found a malay couple to join us.

The taxi made a quick pitstop at a local tourist guide station and asked if we wanted to booked any entertainment package or sightseeing packages, we head inside and choose a package consists of :

  • Kayaking
  • Visit to Tiger Temple
  • Krabi's Night Market
  • Island Hopping

All of these cost us about RM300, mind you this was on 2014, before all the GST/SST shitzzz XD

After the tour guide station, we directly head for the kayaking activities and glad that we took the morning session, as the surrounding was so bright and beautiful that we get to enjoy the scenery and lookout for the crocodile cave (glad there were no crocodiles haha)

Then we head down to Tiger Temple, a famous temple in Krabi for their uncounted numbers of stairs to the top. I was almost confident that I can get to the top, but knowingly I haven't had my breakfast yet, I can only managed to go half the stairs. I feel like vomiting, dizzy and almost fainted. So I decided not to pursue and come back down.

That night, we head down to the Krabi's Night Market and it seems like your usual Pasar Malam but it is full with foods and glorious foods! *drooling*

I love their Pad Thai, the mini desserts, the thai teas and their mango sticky rice.

The next morning, we were taken for our Island Hopping at 7 different places, some island we can go off the boat and chilling by the beach, some were only seen from the boat. There was this island called Chicken Island and it does look like a chicken!

By midway of the island hopping, I was already feeling a bit nausea -_-'

So there was a part where I just stay by the boat while others had so much fun snorkeling in the water. All I did was sit at the edge of the boat and feed the fishes, the colourful fishes with bread.

The tour took up one whole day, by late evening, we reached our hotel and was so exhausted to the max. We had a quick dinner, a massage (which no one should skip while in Krabi) and a three-times trip to the souvenirs shops HAHA because we always forgot to buy to whom the souvenirs.

Our last day for the trip we just had our breakfast and went to the airport to depart back home. I surely need to repeat this trip again. There are some places that I want to go again, foods I want to indulge again and also the massage trip haha

I guess this is the time to pump up my game of savings!

Silent Disco at RIUH

RIUH event has been widely known for their music, arts, stand-up comedy and other great entertainments. Recently on 28th of August, they had one event located at the Gasket Alley, PJ.

Me and my sister has always try to squeeze in RIUH in our schedule every time they made an event. On this time around, they choose PJ instead of Bangsar like always. I guess maybe Bangsar was a little challenging to find parking.

While at Gasket Alley, there are plenty of parking located on the venue and at the shopping mall across the street.

This time around they have quite an installments on the exhibits, we went to this one slot called

OrbiTV : AN AV EXHIBIT
Audio & Visual Content : Phobophobia by Luqman Ashaari

Where he uses a compile series of his eerie 3D motion videos and discomfort arts.

You had to use a headphones, with eerie sounds and watch discomfort videos *almost disgusted but good try*

Then we went to the end of the hall for some pictures in a box called Filamen. A glowing stick is hung inside and you can take a lot of pictures and videos for only 1 minute and 30 seconds haha, If you have good phones for dark environment, then you might catch a few good photos! Sadly, I don't.

Lastly, we head upstairs for some dancing - SILENT DISCO (Our favorites!)

As the name states, it is literally a silent disco. The songs were only on the headphones and we ourselves only hear the musics. No one on the same level can hear anything. So we dance and sings with the headphones, and imagine putting off the headphones and listening to people singing with deaf-tune (like me) and dancing like weird people, hehe, but it was a good exhibition actually!

Thought of ending the night with some bite and drinks, head to the back at Tiffin Foodcourt, and quite disappointed with the choices of foods and drinks, as they serves more beer than mineral waters and not much choices for eat. I mean we're tired from dancing, we need water haha

But overall, RIUH has been a good event through out the years, and we always look forward for the next one. I heard they are heading to Ipoh !

Look out for their updates HERE

Grand Lexis Port Dickson Review - Indah Khabar Dari Rupa

Grand Lexis Port Dickson Review | Hai hai!

Assalamualaikum semuanya! Haaa cuti-cuti buat apa tuu?

Okay hari ni nak share sikit cerita masa trip pergi Grand Lexis Port Dickson beberapa minggu lepas.

Planning asal buat masa nak pergi trip ni memang tak plan lama pun, kebetulan kawan ada ambil cuti 3 hari terus ajak pergi. Kita pula cek tabung travel cukup nak join, terus gerak haha.

Kira trip ni macam birthday celebration jugak lah, birthday lagi, haha

Belated birthday untuk Atul (4/2)
Advance birthday for me (March)
Advance birthday for Aqilah (23/4)

Private Pool boleh terjun terus!

Dua queen bed, so boleh datang dua family or 4 sekawan

Shaklee ESP tak tinggal ya kawan-kawan hihi

Bahagian pantry yang luas

Disebabkan line kerja Atul banyak pada weekends, jadi kitorg pilih untuk bercuti pada hari kerja. Jalan tak jam and orang tak ramai.

Bertolak isnin and balik rabu. Bertolak dalam tengahari and perjalanan cuma ambil satu jam setengah jee. #DekatJe Check-in dalam pukul 3pm, haaa time ni kan masing-masing terkejut dengan dua benda iaitu :-

1) Deposit mahal gila RM300
Time ni terkejut gak lah sebab memang tahu hotel polisi akan ada deposit kena letak dulu, tapi takde lah sampai RM300, ingat kan RM100 or RM150 je maximum haha.

Tapi masa nak check-in tu tanyalah bilik kitorg tingkat berapa, and tau apa staff tu jawab?

"Tingkat berapa? Eh takk bilik you guys bawah ni je, depan tuu"

Bilik dia awesome and private pool tu lah yang paling dinantikan and sangat selesa and sangat privacy okayy!

Jangan tengok gambar je, datang sini check-in and experience this!

Owh yaa, nak share lagi

NAK ORDER DESSERT? KLIK SINI - Bakes by AB
NAK BOOKING SLOT SPA? KLIK SINI - Mobile Spa by AB

View laut dekat water villa

Aktiviti berbasikal lepas breakfast

Kasi chance lah nak fefeling haha

3) Booking breakfast

Dekat booking.com akan ada senarai harga yang lain-lain ikut pada berapa ramai pax nak stay, kena baca betul-betul if dia tulis

Breakfast included or
Breakfast available at the premises

Dua ni berbeza tau, satu maksudkan breakfast included dengan harga, satu lagi maksudnya korang kena BAYAR ADD ON breakfast kalau nak breakfast.

Untuk kitorg mula-mula ambil 2 pax punya harga bilik dengan breakfast and nak add on another 1 pax for breakfast, tapi bila cek harga untuk 3 pax punya bilik sekali dengan breakfast sama je kalau add on. Baik ambil 3 pax terus, settle. Tak yah pening-pening.

4) Ada banyak aktiviti kat Grand Lexis
Kitorg pilih untuk berbasikal keliling villa. Lepas siap je breakfast terus ambil aktiviti ni, satu jam RM10/basikal/seorang, tapi 30 minit je lepas tu penat haha

5) MAKE SURE AKAUN BANK ADA DUIT AND AKAUN CREDIT CARD
Kenapa kita cakap macam ni, grand lexis ni tak macam hotel lain, walaupun booking dengan booking.com, pIhak Grand Lexis akan tetap tolak duit dari akaun ya untuk confirmation. Kitorg mengalami 'sudden attack' bila staff Grand Lexis hantar email kata tak boleh booking and sekiranya nak cancel kena bayar jumlah wang yang sama. Apsal plak?!

Dok dalih-dalih rupanya diorg nak tolak jumlah harga dari bank je. Cuba lah cakap awal-awal, ni dah masukkan duit dalam bank pun tetap tak boleh tolak sebab akaun debit card. Depa nak CREDIT CARD ye anak-anak (facepalm), lagi mudah kalau pihak depa ni bagitahu semua ni dalam fine print (facepalm kali kedua)

But all in all, we had a really good time!

Breakfast best!
Bilik best!
Private pool best!
View best!

Mana-mana yang tak pernah stay dekat Grand Lexis ni, kena cuba sekali at least!

So tunggu apa lagi? Ajak family/kawan-kawan and buat bajet now-now hehe
